Materials:

* Size E 3.5 mm Hook

* Size G 4.0 mm Hook

* Tapestry Needle

* Your Choice of Worsted Weight Yarn in Gray, White and Black


Abbreviations:

Magic Circle
ST= Stitch
CH= Chain
SC= Single Crochet
Sc2tog = Single Crochet 2 together
HDC = Half Double Crochet
DC= Double Crochet

Cozy Pattern: 

Using G Hook Chain 9
Hdc in 2nd ch from hook, Hdc across (8)
*Now working on opposite side of chain
Hdc across (8)
You now will be working in rounds – I did not sl st and ch 1, but you can if it’s easier for you
Round 2-11: Hdc in each st (16) – Don’t tie off

1st side of Mouth: Using G Hook
Row 1: Sc in 8 sts, Ch 1, turn (8)
Row 2: Sc2tog, Sc in the next 4, Sc2tog, ch 1, turn (6)
Row 3: Sc2tog, Sc in the next 2, Sc2tog, ch 1, turn (4)
Row 4: Sc2tog (2 times), ch 1, turn (2)
Row 5: sc2tog – tie off and weave in ends
Attach yarn on other side of otter pop

Do the same as 1st side of mouth

Teeth: Using White and E Hook
Attach white yarn at bottom corner of mouth
Sc in 1st st, *(ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, Sc), skip a sts, Sc in next st* repeat around, sl st – tie off and weave in tail

Tail: Using G Hook
Now working on the bottom portion of the cozy. You are going to attach your yarn to one side of the cozy and SC across
making 7 SC (7)
After making your 7 SC, Chain 9
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in the rest of the chains. Sl st in the same st as ch, sl st in the next sc, turn your work
(do not ch 1 when you start working back up – this is for all the times you work back up)
Row 2: Sc in each st, ch 1 turn (8)
Row 3: Sc2tog, Sc down 6, Sl st in the same st that is being worked, sl st in the next sc (7)
Row 4: Sc in the next 5 sts, Sc2tog, ch 1, turn (6)


Row 5: Sc2tog, Sc in the next 4, Sl st in the same st that is being worked, sl st in the next sc (5)
Row 6: Sc in 3 sts, Sc2tog, ch 1, turn (4)
Row 7: Sc down 4 sts, Sl st in the same st that is being worked, sl st in the next sc (4)
Row 8: Sc in 3 sts, make 2 Sc in last st, ch 1, turn (5)
Row 9: 2 Sc in 1st st, Sc in the next 4 sts, Sl st in the same st that is being worked, sl st in the next sc (6)
Row 10: Sc in 5 sts, Sc 2 in the last st, ch 1, turn (7)
Row 11: 2 Sc in 1st st, Sc in the next 6 sts, Sl st in the same st that is being worked, sl st in the next sc (8)
Row 12: Sc in each st, ch 1 (8)
Now sc evenly across fin in you would like

2 small fins: Gray & E Hook
Ch 4
Hdc in 2nd ch from hook, (Dc, ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, Dc), Hdc in last st
Tie off & weave in ends

Big center fin: Gray & E Hook
Make 4 Sc in Magic Circle – I did not sl st, I made continuous rounds
Round 2: Sc in each st, (4)
Round 3: 2 Sc in 1st st, Sc in next st, 2 Sc in next st, Sc in last st (6)
Round 4: 2 Sc in 1st st, Sc in next 2 sts, 2 Sc in next st, Sc in the last 2 sts (8)


Round 5: 2 Sc in 1st st, Sc in next 3 sts, 2 Sc in next st, Sc in the last 3 sts (10)
Round 6-7: Sc in each st around (10)
Tie off and weave in ends

**I hot glued my fins on, but you can sew them on. Whatever works for you**

Eyes:
I used black yarn and made a knot for the eyes, but you can use felt or beads, whatever you prefer
