Size: Egg & Duck – about 3½” tall
Materials: Sport Weight Yarn
Small amounts of the following: White (W); Yellow (Y); Orange (O)
Additional Materials: Yarn needle; Hot/Craft Glue, 15 mm Moveable Eyes (1)
Crochet Hook:Size F-5 (3.75 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 9 sts = 2 inches; 5 rows = 2 inches

JOINING WITH SC

FRONT EGG – HALF SHELL
Rows 1-3: Rep Rows 1-3 of Back Egg.

DUCK
Row 1: (Right Side) Starting at bottom, with Y, ch 6; dc in 3rd ch from hook, dc in next 2 ch, 2 dc in last ch. (6 dc)
Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as first dc now and through-out), turn, dc in first dc, (dc in next dc) across to last dc, 2 dc in last dc. (8 dc)

BEAK
With right side of Duck facing, join O with sl st to outer edge of Head (between Rows 4 & 5 on right), ch 3, (sl st, ch 4, sl st) in same sp as joining.
Finish off and weave in ends.
FEET
With right side of Duck facing, working in foundation chain, join O with sl st to first ch, (ch 4, sl st in next foundation ch) twice. Finish off and weave in ends.
Finishing USE PHOTO AS A GUIDE
Duck – Sew (or Glue) Wing and 7mm Eye to Duck.
Egg – Using long end, sew Front Half Shell to Back Egg, leaving opening. Tuck Duck into pocket.
