    (1412 Country Pink or 1730 Bright Aqua) – approx. 85 yards
  • Contrast A
    (1740 Bright Pink or 1005 White) – approx. 20 yards
  • Contrast B
    (1005 White or 1612 Sunshine) – approx. 5 yards
  • Sew-on Snaps or Velcro.
  • Matching thread and needle.

CROCHET HOOK
G6 (4.00mm) crochet hook, OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.

GAUGE
16 dc and 6 rows to 4”/10 cm.

INSTRUCTIONS

Notes:

  1. Tunic is worked downward from top, back and forth in rows.
  2. To avoid mistake(s), count stitches in each round, or row when finished.
  3. When changing color always complete last half of last st worked with next color.
  4. Turning ch 3 at beg of rows count as dc throughout.
  5. Turning ch 1 at beg of rows does not count as stitch throughout.

YOKE
With A, ch 50.
Row 1: Dc in fourth ch from hook, dc in each ch across – 48 sts. Cut A yarn. Ch 1, turn.

BODY
Next row will divide the yoke into backs, front and armholes.

Row 1: Join MC, hdc in each of next 7 sts (for first back), ch 8, skip next 10 sts (for armhole), hdc in each of next 14 sts (for front), ch 8, skip next 10 sts (for armhole), hdc in each of next 7 sts (for second back) – 44 sts. Ch 1, turn.

Row 2: Hdc in each ch and st across – 44 sts. Ch 1, turn.

Rows 3-5: Hdc in each st across – 44 sts. Ch 1, turn.

Row 6: Drop MC, rejoin A, sc in first st, ch 1, skip next st, 3 sc in next st, * ch 1, skip two sts, 3 sc in next st, repeat from * across to last two sts, end ch 1, skip next st, sc in last st – 44 sc, 15 ch-1 spaces. Ch 1, turn.

Row 17: Sc in each ch and sc across – 59 sts. Ch 1, turn.

Fasten off. Secure yarn to WS.

FLOWER
With A, ch 3, join with sl st in first ch to form ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, work 6 sc in ring, join with sl st in first sc to form a ring. Cut A yarn.

Rnd 2: Join B with sl st in front loop of any sc, work * (sc, ch 4) in front loop of next sc; rep from * around; join with sl st in first sc – 6 petals.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, work * (sc, ch 5) in remaining back loop of next sc on rnd 1; rep from * around; join with sl st in first sc – 6 petals. Fasten off. Secure yarn to WS.

FINISHING
Sew snaps or Velcro to back for fastening. Sew Flower to front of body.
