YARN: 24/7 Cotton by Lion Brand (Lace 4) in Red and Grey

HOOK SIZE: 3.5 mm

OTHER MATERIALS: Polyester Fiber Filling

STITCHES USED and ABBREVIATIONS: chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), decrease (dec), increase (inc), back loop only (BLO), fasten off (F/O), round (rnd).

INSTRUCTIONS:

Work in rows otherwise instructed; join with a sl st and ch1at the end of each row.

BODY (gray and red yarn)

1) start working with gray yarn, 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) inc around (12)

3) *1 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (18)

4) *2 sc, 1 inc*, repeat ** around (24)

5) switch to red yarn, working in BLO, 24 sc (24)

6-11) working now in both loops, sc even (24)

12) *4 sc, 1 dec*, repeat four times, 4 sc (20)

13-16) sc even (20); start stuffing the body of the plane firmly

17) *3 sc, 1 dec*, repeat around (16)

18-22) sc even (16)

23) *2 sc, 1 dec*, repeat around (12)

24-27) sc even (12)

28) *4 sc, 1 dec*, repeat twice (10); finish stuffing

29) *3 sc, 1 dec*, repeat twice (8); F/O and close the hole

PROPELLER (gray and red yarn)

1) starting off with red yarn, crochet 13 ch, 2 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 10 sc, 4 sc in the last ch, keep working on the opposite side of the foundation chain, 10 sc, 1 sc inc in the last st that already contains 2 sc; join with a sl st to the first sc, F/O and hide the yarn.

Now working with gray yarn, crochet 6 sc in a mr (6); F/O and leave a long tail of yarn.

Position the propeller on the grey section of the body. Center the small grey rounded piece at the center and use the tail of yarn to attach the two parts to the plane's body, as shown in the picture.

WINGS (gray and red yarn; make two)

1) starting off with gray yarn, 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) *1 sc, 1 inc*, repeat three times (9)

3) *2 sc, 1 inc*, repeat three times (12)

4-7) sc even (12)

8) switch to red yarn, sc even (12)

9) switch back to gray yarn, sc even (12)

10) sc even (12)

11) switch to red yarn, sc even (12)

12) sc even (12); F/O and leave a long tail of yarn.

Do not stuff the wing.

Flatten the wings and sew them to sides of the plane's body, between rnd 8 and rnd 13.

HORIZONTAL STABILIZERS (gray yarn; make two)

1) 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) *1 sc, 1 inc*, repeat three times (9)

3-4) sc even (9)

Flatten the stabilizers and sew them to sides of the plane's tail.

VERTICAL STABILIZER (red yarn)

1) 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) *1 sc, 1 inc*, repeat three times (9)

3-4) sc even (9)

Flatten the stabilizer and sew it onto the plane's tail.
